Foundation Tractor Trek

Save the Date!!!  The Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation is putting the final touches on plans for our sixth annual Tractor Trek. The Tractor Trek will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017, rain or shine! This year’s event is an effort to raise funds for the Ag in the Classroom Program.  READ MORE


Ag in the Classroom Golf Outing

Bureau and Lee County Farm Bureaus will be hosting their 8th Annual Golf Outing for supporters of Ag in the Classroom. The outing will be held on Thursday, June 29th at Chapel Hill Golf Course in Princeton. The Tournament will be a shot-gun start, 4- person scramble. Tee time is 9 a.m. and lunch (provided by COUNTRY Financial) will be served for all teams during the event. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Bureau and Lee County Ag in the Classroom program. READ MORE

Seven students receive Farm Bureau Foundation scholarships

Seven Bureau County students will receive financial assistance from the Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation to help cover costs associated with continuing their education. The Foundation Board of Directors has named Skyler Brazel of Tiskilwa, Chase Gripp of Sheffield, Kaitlyn Hildebrand of Ohio, Alexa Jacobs of Walnut, Luke Schultz of Princeton, Malena Wheeler of Tiskilwa and Cole Wright of Bradford as the 2017 recipients of the Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarships. Ag Literacy Coordinator Position Available

The Coordinator will be responsible for providing and creating science-based curriculum material, presentations, and training opportunities to audience's ages Pre-K through adult.  The coordinator will be responsible for monthly classroom lessons in classrooms throughout Bureau County.  The coordinator will be responsible for agricultural, environmental, natural resource programs and other curriculum. Water Testing Program Available

The Bureau County Farm Bureau, has teamed up with Nutrient Stewardship of Northern Illinois to host free water testing open house days for private landowners and operators. Beginning in June, an open house from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. will be held each Friday at the Bureau County Farm Bureau, 535 Elm Place, in Princeton. READ MORE


Plat Books and Rural Directories Available

The 2017 Rockford Map plat book accurately displays parcel boundaries, acreage data, roadways, waterways, railways, section lines, municipal boundaries, and includes an index to owners. An additional map feature included in the new plat book is aerial map images. An aerial map lies opposite each township parcel map, and is very useful in providing a quick gauge to the use of a particular parcel. Latitude/Longitude grids for GPS reference are also provided along with a rural addressing grid.  READ MORE

FOID Card Application Changes

*Due to the following change the Bureau County Farm Bureau will no longer be offering FOID card services.  We apologize for any inconvience.*

The Illinois State Police (ISP) announced on March 6, 2015, the agency will now be accepting on-line FOID applications, to provide a more streamlined modernized application process.  READ MORE
