Trucking regulations got you scratching your head? Hearing conflicting explanations?

To sort truth from conjecture and fact from rumor come join us at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7th at the Annawan Community Center, 314 N State Street, Annawan, IL 61234.

Bureau and Henry County will be co-hosting this two-hour seminar that focuses on trucking laws for farmers—both new and well-worn. It’ll take a special look at the latest “Covered Farm Vehicle” exemptions and you'll have the chance to ask those trucking questions that you can’t seem to find the answers for anywhere else.  READ MORE

County Farm Bureau® Foundation Scholarship Offered

The Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation is pleased to announce that they are offering scholarships to area students majoring in agriculture. Again this year is a graduate student scholarship, which will benefit Bureau County students further their education in agriculture.  Application requirements are the same as the general scholarship. Applications are due February 28.  READ MORE

Water Testing Program Available

The Bureau County Farm Bureau, has teamed up with Nutrient Stewardship of Northern Illinois to host free water testing open house days for private landowners and operators. Beginning in June, an open house from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. will be held each Friday at the Bureau County Farm Bureau, 535 Elm Place, in Princeton. READ MORE


Plat Books and Rural Directories Available

The 2015 Rockford Map plat book accurately displays parcel boundaries, acreage data, roadways, waterways, railways, section lines, municipal boundaries, and includes an index to owners. An additional map feature included in the new plat book is aerial map images. An aerial map lies opposite each township parcel map, and is very useful in providing a quick gauge to the use of a particular parcel. Latitude/Longitude grids for GPS reference are also provided along with a rural addressing grid.  READ MORE

FOID Card Application Changes

*Due to the following change the Bureau County Farm Bureau will no longer be offering FOID card services.  We apologize for any inconvience.*

The Illinois State Police (ISP) announced on March 6, 2015, the agency will now be accepting on-line FOID applications, to provide a more streamlined modernized application process.  READ MORE
