Agricultural Energy Meeting Set


University of Illinois Extension - Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit and the Bureau County Farm Bureau invite you to an Agricultural Energy Program on Monday, March 4, from 7:00 p.m. at the Bureau County Extension Office, 850 Thompson Street, Princeton.

The focus of the program is introducing wind and solar energy into a rural environment. Topics of discussion include: types of solar farms and applications; types of wind turbines and applications; overview of the renewable energy projects for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; economic benefits; legal aspects and landowner rights. The presenters for the evening include: Jay Solomon - University of Illinois Extension Energy and Environmental Stewardship Educator; Garrett Thalgott - Attorney, Illinois Farm Bureau; Mohamed Attalla - Executive Director of Facilities & Services, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Keith Bolin - Project Developer, Geronimo Energy; and Andy Seay - Solarize Outreach Coordinator, StraightUp Solar.
