Bureau County Farm Bureau hosted its 105th Annual Meeting on January 13, 2020 at the Prouty Building in Princeton. During the meeting special guests, current directors and staff were introduced, members were elected to serve on the 2020 Bureau County Farm Bureau board and official business was approved.
President Evan Hultine addressed the crowd highlighting successes of local programming of the last year. He also spoke about future plans of the new building located on north Main Street in Princeton and the sale of the building on Elm Place.
At the meeting, the following directors were elected to serve a two-year term: William Anderson, District 2, Seat 2; Ray Cheline, District 2, Seat 2; Rex Elmore, District 3, Seat 2; Tony Stirling, District 4, Seat 2; Evan Hultine, At-Large, Seat 2 and Brian Carlson, At-Large, Seat 4. Current directors recognized for their continued service at the annual meeting were Brian Sanden1 District 1, Seat 2; Kent Bickett, District 2, Seat 1; Kathi Reed, District 3, Seat 1 and Derek Molln, District 4, Seat 1.
Officers were elected within the board at a reorganization board meeting held later that evening following the annual meeting. Evan Hultine of Princeton was re-elected to serve as President; Rex Elmore of Tiskilwa was re-elected to serve as Vice President, Tony Stirling of Spring Valley was re-elected to serve as Treasurer and William Anderson of Walnut was re-elected to the role of Secretary. Each of these positions are one-year terms.
