DESCRIPTION:Save the Date!!! The Bureau County Farm Bureau Foundation is putting the final touches on plans for our seventh annual Tractor Trek. The Tractor Trek will be held on Saturday\, June 23\, 2018\, rain or shine! This year’s event is an effort to raise funds for the Ag in the Classroom Program. Participants will have the opportunity to share the exciting event with other antique tractor enthusiasts as they travel through the northeastern portion of Bureau County. Pre-registration is required by completing a registration form by June 15th. There is a registration fee of $50. \nRefreshments\, lunch\, and a fun-filled experience will be provided. The deadline to register is soon\, space is limited. If you would like more information\, you may contact the Bureau County Farm Bureau at (815) 875-6468. SUMMARY:Golf Outings
DESCRIPTION:Bureau and Lee County Farm Bureaus will be hosting their 9th Annual Golf Outing for supporters of Ag in the Classroom. The outing will be held on Thursday\, June 21st at Lost Nation Golf Course in Dixon. The Tournament will be a shot-gun start\, 4- person scramble. Tee time is 9 a.m. and lunch (provided by COUNTRY Financial) will be served for all teams during the event. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Bureau and Lee County Ag in the Classroom program. \nToday’s youth are two and three generations removed from the farm. That’s why we feel it is so important to bring agriculture awareness to local students. Supporting the Ag in the Classroom program helps us provide free agriculture materials\, presentations and resources to local teachers and classrooms in Bureau and Lee Counties. So\, whether you consider yourself “good on the green” or just want to have a fun day out\, this is the tournament for you! \nPolish up your clubs and support a good cause. Team fees are $200 for Basic Registration\, $225 for Super Registration and $250 for Premium Registration. Registration includes 18-holes of golf\, ½ cart and lunch. If you are not a golfer\, but would like to support this event\, several sponsorship packages are also available. \nRegistration is suggested by June 8. Registration after the deadline will be accepted if space is available. Tee time starts at 9:00 a.m. we hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:The Bureau County Farm Bureau Young Leaders is pleased to announce their first Annual Beyond the Banners Clinic. It will be held on Saturday\, June 2nd at the Bureau County Fair Grounds. The clinic will take place in the cattle arena. The day will begin at 9:00 a.m.and end around 11:00 a.m. \nArea youth are invited to this important educational event designed for 4-H and FFA members! This clinic will include feeding advice\, grooming practices\, show preparation and showmanship techniques! \nAll animals in the clinic (cattle\, hogs and sheep) will be provided. NO personal livestock will be needed. \nThank you to our featured speakers representing Earlybird Feed. \nPlease RSVP by Friday\, May 25th.
